Serving All your Needs

Our Inspections

Whether you are buying, selling, or maintaining your home, Chubby Hubby Home Inspections provides professional and quality service from the moment you call us. As a licensed home inspector, I will walk through your home with you and teach you as much as you want to learn. I strictly follow the Standards of Practice for home inspectors established by TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission).

After we walk through the home together, I will personally explain the general condition of the home and systems with you and your agent. We will talk through any major issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. I will also mention the items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All of this will be detailed in my report delivered as a PDF.

New Construction Phase

We’ll catch any errors or problems before the next phase begins.
When building a new home, it's important to make sure that everything is being done correctly before moving to the next phase. Conducting inspections during construction phases can help to identify potential mistakes and hazards before they become a part of the new house, leading to problems in the future. With our inspections, we will make sure each phase was completed properly and that all major systems and components of the home were properly installed.

11-Month Warranty

Ensure your property gets inspected before the builder’s warranty is up.
The 11-month warranty inspection is done just before the builder’s warranty expires. This type of inspection will make it easier for you to make a claim on your warranty. Our inspectors will be able to identify problems that may arise in new construction and alert you to issues that can become serious over time. If this problem affects your home after your warranty expires, you would have to pay for any repairs out of pocket, meaning an 11-month warranty inspection can save you from a financial blow in the future.

Septic and Well

Checking the pressure and volume of your system will ensure it’s working properly.
Homes that get their water from wells are usually more common in rural areas. Such homes also tend to rely on septic systems to process wastewater. Septic and well inspections should be conducted regularly to make sure that the systems are all working as they should; some home sales even make such inspections mandatory. Problems discovered during an inspection can spare you the trouble of purchasing a new septic system in the future.

WDI Inspections

We’ll search your home for any wood-destroying insects and organisms.
A wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection is conducted to determine if there are any signs of wood-destroying insects, such as termites, on a property. By getting a WDI inspection done, you are taking a preventive step in identifying a possible WDI infestation, as it could take years to find visible evidence of termites on your property. Regardless of your home's age, this inspection can be very useful.

Pool Inspections

We’ll determine if your pool meets local safety regulations.
A professional pool inspection allows you to know the condition of a pool, to make sure it is meeting local safety regulations, pool conditions, and other safety measures. We will perform a thorough walk through of the pool area, looking for issues with the deck, coping, and components that connect the two. We will also check the pool liner and foundation for any leaks, cracks, or any other kind of damage. In addition to these things, we check all hardware such as drains, lights, ladders, and rails to make sure they are installed properly. Finally, we check pool equipment including filters, pumps, heaters, pluming, and any other electrical component.
